Development Discussion / VNs made with NVList ?
« Last post by Field mouse on August 08, 2014, 02:38:40 PM »
  Hello everyone.

I can find only four vns made with the NVList visual novel engine :

The cottage on the moor (engine demo)
 Days of the divine.
 Reaching out.

So i was wondering if i had somehow missed other vns made with NVList or if there realy have been only four vns completed using this engine ? .

The reason i ask is that i  now have several stories in various stages of completion and i thought it would be interesting to complete one of
them as a vn and see what people think as  i have a feeling that some of my stories may be better as  animations than as vns.

I made a decision early on that i did not want to use Renpy so that narrows the list of freeware English language vn engines down to Novelty
and NVList . add on the optimistic hope that if i am any good at producing vns i will eventualy need to modify the engine to my requirements
and that narrows it further to just NVList.

If there are so few vns made with NVList i would welcome peoples opinions as to why that may be.

                                                                                                                                                     Thank you.

I still lurk here from time to time. Congrats on the release of your VN, Vatina. It seems to be getting positive responses from those who played it.

Hello everyone :) Sorry for disappearing... it's been way too long. It's good to see you are all still out there though!

Release 1.3.0 is now available.

In this chapter Mary must look into her childhood to prepare for the dark man.  There is a problem however, she has no memory of her past.  Who can help?  Dirk and Mary must find someone, anyone, that will point them in the right direction.  Along the way, they meet an other worldly ally or at least the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

I have also converted all the video audio tracks from AC3 to MP3.  You now only need an xvid and MP3 decoder to play the game.

Here are the links:

A voice chat sounds good to me. I'm fine on weekends or any other day.

Ironically, it seems that I'm among the last to reply here in spite of suggesting the thread be made. :-[

I've been working full-time for almost a couple years now, and unfortunately the hours are during the time when most of us were on the IRC. That said, I'm actually (finally, hopefully) wrapping up grad school this semester. I'm hoping to have the motivation to get back in to creative endeavors (VN or others) once this weight is gone.

I'd definitely be up for a voice chat some weekend.

Hello, Teacup!

So, I'm undertaking a shameless round of pimp--er, I mean, raising awareness of our new VN, Errant Heart.

Anyway, a number of you have probably already seen or heard of the game in the past. But now we've just entered the "Kickstarter phase", and assuming it succeeds, we shall begin barreling towards completion quite soon. At any rate, in the event that anyone is interested, do please take a look at the Kickstarter. We'd appreciate your time and consideration.

Release 1.2.3 is now available.  I've added a new trivia user element.  Now at places in the story you'll be asked to answer multiple choice trivia questions.  The questions are about the movies, songs, or anything else I might have dreamed up.  This release fixes a bug that causes an intermittent crash during videos in Linux.

Here's a screen shot of the new trivia element:

I have been quite busy with real life myself. And when I am not, I tend to spend times obsessing on a different hobby other than visual novel. Though I still check around irc channel such as #vn-devs on rizon.net for anything evn related (Or the occasionally Group Play over at lsf, only to find that there aren't much folks that match my taste.)

I do check on this forum from time to time for any update, but I don't think I have anything to contribute to it. Perhaps we should have an arranged voice chat for this new year.
